New Seismic Seminar Joins CLSE Offerings

The topic of seismic design has become well known to many over the past five years. And like many, your learning experience has most likely come with a cost. The new editions of NFPA and IBC have arrived and offer a much more understandable process for those involved with fire protection systems to apply. To discuss these changes, CLSE has added a new online audio seminar, Seismic Design for Fire Sprinkler Systems (NFPA 13 2007 Edition) presented by CLSE veteran presenter Steven Scandaliato, S.E.T. This seminar will be valuable to both engineers of record, sprinkler system designers and authorities of jurisdiction.

Residential Seminar Added to Online Courses

CLSE has added a new online audio seminar, Residential Sprinkler Application, covering specific listings/approvals of residential sprinklers within NFPA13, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems, NFPA 13D, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in One- and Two-Family Dwellings, and NFPA 13R, Standard for the Installation of Sprinkler Systems in Residential Occupancies Up To and Including Four Stories in Height. Issues such as the new UL test protocol for sloped ceiling applications are discussed in addition to specific applications such as beamed flat ceilings to beamed sloped, Preaction Dry Residential, Dry CPVC for residential systems.

New Fire Sprinkler Intro Series Now Available:

To aid in the contractor/AHJ relationship and the long-term reliability of future fire sprinkler installations, the Center for Life Safety (CLSE) has developed a series of affordable, easy-to-access online seminars designed to assist inspectors and plan reviewers in gaining a more thorough understanding of fire sprinkler systems installations Ð how they are designed, how they follow NFPA standards, and what to look for to ensure that they meet the goal of good fire protection. The Fire Sprinklers 101/102/103 Series is now available.
